Boston whale watching from Long Wharf on a fast, comfy cruise with outdoor decks and New England Aquarium naturalists.

“Honestly I could not sell this experience more! It was such a cool experience in Boston and a great way to spend the first half of our day. The guide and staff on boat did all they could to get us some whale sightings and they had such great knowledge about them. Was really cool to learn so much about them! We saw two humpback whales in the end (Fern and Rocker) and it was such a surreal experience and I could not recommend more! The guides also come throughout the boat during the journey to and from Boston and give you some details, allow you to ask any questions…”

“A sudden thunderstorm delayed the launch, but fortunately everyone had already boarded. It was fun watching the thunderstorm from inside the boat. Afterwards we saw a beautiful rainbow, and the skyline was so pretty with half still under cloud cover with occasional flashes of lightning and the other half lit up by the sunset. The boat was not too crowded at all. Great experience.”

“While the ship was very nice and the staff was accommodating, there was no actual cruise around the harbor. The ship circled the same area in front of the airport landing strip for most of the time. We did not get any good views of the Boston Harbor from the ship. It was disappointing.”

Very grateful that we took the trip and came back safely. Thanks to the person driving the ship and all the others who work along to make sure all went well. I recommend taking a ride with Sunset Cruise”

15.City Cruises Sunset Skyline Cruise with Commentary

★★★★★★★★★★4.6 · 381 reviews · 1h 30m · from $55

A 90-minute narrated Boston Harbor sunset cruise from Long Wharf, with USS Constitution cannon salute, skyline views, and expert commentary.

“The weather was very dull and windy so we were in two minds about going, but we're so glad that we did! We may not have seen the sunset, but the views of the city were spectacular, especially once everywhere was lit up. The narrator was informative and engaging, and overall it was probably the best thing we did in Boston. Our only gripe is that we were told to go to the booth to exchange the ap booking for tickets. The guy at the booth said no need, but then sent us to the wrong dock, so basically communication needs to improve.”
